What is "Hike & Seek"?
It's the ultimate Round Table challenge weekend! Hiking, Exploring, Solving and lots of Merry-Making!
We've adapted our traditional "Hike & Bike" weekend, so non-cyclists can join in the fun. But you'll need your wits (as well as your walking boots) if you're going to bring home the trophy!
Set in the idyllic town of Castleton and its surrounding countryside, teams compete to score the most points across a series of challenges and check-points!
Here's the outline plan:
- Friday night - arrive at the event (Castleton YHA in the Peak District, S33 8WB) and then hit the local pubs and bars.
- Saturday - The Hike! Earn points for completing challenges & being quickest. Followed by a night out.
- Sunday - The Seek! Find and solve clues around Castleton to score to points. Trophy ceremony and goodbyes.
Breakfast, lunch & dinner provided on Saturday. Plus breakfast on Sunday.
When is it?
- Friday 18 June 2027 (arrive in the evening) - Sunday 20 June 2027 (leave at lunchtime) - NOTE THIS IS A CHANGE OF DATE

How much is it?
It's the best value weekend in Round Table!
- £160 for competitors (includes YHA accommodation and food) - EARLY BIRD PRICE*
- £125 for marshals (includes YHA accommodation and food) - EARLY BIRD PRICE*
*Early bird price saves you £20 on the standard pricing. But it's only available for few days in early June - so book ASAP!
(There is a small booking fee on top.)
Competitors can split their payments! Pay just £50 now to lock in these prices - and pay the balance by 30 September 2026. Bargain!
FAQs
- How many are in each team? Teams comprise 3-4 competitors. But don't worry if there's only 1-2 of you, we'll join you to form another team.
- Do you need any help with the marshalling? Yes - if you fancy the weekend without too much hiking or biking, please buy a Marshals Ticket!
- Is camping available? Yes - but the YHA are charging us only a few quid less for people who want to camp, so we've priced all the tickets the same for now. If you want to camp, please indicate this on your booking form and we'll see what we can do.
- Are campervans / caravan allowed? Unfortunately not. The venue doesn't allow them.
LEGAL STUFF
We collect information from you that you provide to us (e.g. when purchasing a ticket). We use this information to plan and manage our event and to keep you informed about that event. Where you agree, we may also use this information to contact you about future events or other matters that we think might interest you (e.g. future Hike & Bike events). Don't worry - we won't spam you or sell your contact details. If you change your mind, you can unsubscribe from this at any time.
We take photographs and video at our events for use in publicity and for marketing purposes. By purchasing a ticket or attending the event, you agree to photographs and video being taken and used for these purposes and waive any rights (including any moral rights) you may have in those photographs and/or video.
On request, you must produce a valid form of identification to prove your age: a photo driving licence, a passport or a proof of age card (such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme). We reserve the right to refuse admission. As sometimes our plans change, we reserve the right to change the event details without notice.
Tickets (including deposits) are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event that we cancel or postpone the event, we will offer you the same number of tickets to an alternative event or provide a ticket refund (at your option). This will be the full extent of our liability to you in respect of any cancellation or postponement.
