Thu 13 Aug 2026 2:00 PM - Sun 16 Aug 2026 11:00 AM BST Colchester - University of Essex, Wivenhoe Park, Colchester CO4 3SQ

Gentlemen!

Are you ready to be part of the 300, descending on the great area of Essex?
Steeped in Roman history, Colchester will play host to

THE GLADIATOR GAMES

--

Friday will see the Gladiators arrive, and don their finest Toga (provided) to take on Colchester's finest establishments. Starting with a freshener at the Scholar's favourite on site establishments, followed by events littered around the city.
We intend to put on a variety of activities through the day, so plan to arrive early.

--

Saturday is the day that the men are selected to represent their army. Facing other warriors in fierce battle to be claimed victor. Your men should be prepared for Football, Basketball, Squash and the other usual sports. The legendary FATMAN competition will be back bigger and better than ever. You will also engage in Chariot Racing, and spear throwing, alongside archery, with the last competition being the fan favourite - TUG OF WAR!

The evening sees us take to the Gladiatorial arena for the presentation of the finest warriors, and to have the team claimed as victor. The events and entertainment planned we'll keep as a surprise... for now!

Lastly, with the victors leading, we all will group as the 300 to take on the final night out.

--

All food from Friday evening will be included. Those arriving on Thursday will have their Friday Breakfast and Lunch covered (NOT the evening meal).

There will be more details shared over time.

But I ask of you,

Will YOU be part

of the 300 and conquer the

Gladiator Games
