Row the Erne (Scroll down to book a row)
We generally row the Erne, although we occasionally have sea trips. Local rows are organised to enjoy our beautiful waterscape, our heritage, and the craic. We usually base ourselves at Waterways Ireland.
Events list
Row the Erne is a welcoming community group that invites everyone to enjoy the beauty of the Erne waterway aboard the traditional currach. Our mission is to connect people through rowing, promoting wellness, fun, and a sense of heritage. No experience is needed — we welcome all ages and fitness levels. Just dress for the ever-changing Fermanagh weather with layers, waterproofs, and closed, non-slip shoes; we’ll provide buoyancy aids. Whether you're joining a public row, bringing a school group to explore biodiversity and local history, or hiring the Menapian currach for a birthday, family outing, or team-building event, you'll experience ancient skills on an ancient boat in an ancient landscape.
