Best known for her expressive, highly detailed and meticulous painted portraits, Ishbel Myerscough is a Royal Academician and winner of the National Portrait Gallery’s prestigious BP Portrait Award. Subject matter has primarily included herself and those closest to her, combining focused studies of youth and coming-of-age with adult experiences of parenthood, desire and bereavement. This interactive artist talk combines demonstration with shared drawing activity, inviting audiences into Myerscough’s process of working directly from life.
