Soul-Gray uses painting, collage and drawing to explore and reconcile familiar human qualities of tenderness, kindness and pain. Working from imagery ranging from Renaissance art to found photo albums and 20th century advertisements, her process carefully constructs layers of marks, colour and texture. This interactive artist talk includes a participatory drawing activity, inviting audiences into Soul-Gray’s distinctive visual language and creative process.
