After being gifted a ream of fine watercolour paper as a teenager, Matthew Rice fell in love with the expressive and magical possibilities of watercolour. He has since recorded and illustrated the world around him, from his Oxfordshire home, Ham Court, to extensive travels from Italy to India. This artist talk combines a live demonstration with a watercolour activity, offering audiences insight into Rice’s observational approach to drawing, architecture food and flowers.
