Irish STEM Lives: Spotlighting Ireland’s contribution to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Irish STEM Lives (September 2025, Royal Irish Academy) celebrates the diversity of STEM in Ireland through a selection of 46 lives from the Dictionary of Irish Biography, taking us from the development of the ‘scientific method’ in the circle surrounding Robert Boyle through to the large-scale particle physics experiments undertaken by John Stewart Bell and Anne Kernan at CERN.
Join editors Turlough O’Riordan and Jane Grimson as they discuss some of the fascinating lives featured within, and why they left out some famous names.
