Royal Mile Whiskies Trade Show - Glasgow

After an amazing inaugural show last year, we're very excited to be returning to Glasgow again in 2026. Join us in the stunning upstairs auditorium at Oran Mor to try some quality drinks and get inspired for the upcoming festive season.

You can look forward to a wide mix of producers, great conversations and a few engaging additions throughout the day to keep education at the heart of the event, with a good dose of fun along the way.

Ready, Steady, Mix Cocktail Competition

We had so much fun with last year's competition theme we've decided to bring it back! ‘Ready, Steady, Mix!’ is a light hearted cocktail competition with a nod to classic cook-off chaos. You will receive a mystery box of spirits and liqueurs, as well as access to wildcard ingredients and garnishes. With just 10 minutes on the stopwatch, create your best drink for our judging panel, who will score you on taste, presentation and creative flair!

We have some exceptional prizes on offer, with the first place winner receiving an overnight stay and masterclass tour at The Macallan and Glenrothes distilleries! Want to take part? Come along to the show and register with our Cocktail Comp MC, Ross Mitchell or let your Account Manager know.

Expert Seminars

This year, our Trade Show will include two expert-led seminars:

1. Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Masterclass

Blanton’s is one of the world’s most recognisable bourbons, but what is it about this particular bottle that has made it so sought after? In this masterclass, we explore the story behind Blanton’s, from Albert Blanton and his legendary ‘honey barrels’ to the creation of the world’s first single barrel bourbon.

In ths session, hosted by Fraser Souness from Gordon & MacPhail, we’ll look at what makes Blanton’s unique, from the iconic Warehouse H and limited supply to its famous horse stoppers and hand-bottling process, before putting the theory to the test with a tasting of Blanton’s Original, Gold and Straight From The Barrel. And, to finish, there’s one question left: which bottle would you buy?

2. Rum; a Reclassification of the Category

Rum is a global spirit made across the world using sugarcane juice, syrup and molasses, using a variety of production methods, resulting in a category with a huge diversity in styles and flavour profiles which should be widely celebrated.

Is it being misunderstood and let down by the current classifications in place? In this session, hosted by Speciality Brands’ Rum Ambassador, Dean MacGregor, we delve into a new language and discuss new ways of classifying the world of sugarcane spirits and rum, which focuses on production methods and origin over colour and language of the nation.
