Yarns in the Yard

Four local writers take to the stage at Steel Brew for an evening of live spoken word hosted by Plymouth’s Laureate of Words. The line-up brings together Mélisande Fitzsimons, whose sixth poetry collection is due this autumn; Kate Kreke, a Chicago-born South Hams poet published in a vending machine (among other places); Steve Spence, whose debut collection was shortlisted for the Forward Prize; and R.C. Thomas himself. Varied in style, voice and form – poetry, fiction, non-fiction the event will also feature six open mic performances. The event is free to attend.
