Join us on Friday 2 October for a wonderful evening of Music at the Museum, hosted by the Friends of Royston Museum in collaboration with Creative Royston.

This'll be a rare opportunity to enjoy the brilliant 3Folk, consisting of Jane Ward (accordion), Simon Cooper (cello) and Bryan Causton (mandolin/guitar/bouzouki), and their eclectic mix of traditional folk, with a Celtic and European influence and a smattering of original compositions.

Plus, there'll be a performance of 'Fen Song', a ballad of the Fen and a beautiful haunting sequence of poetry and folk music inspired by the East Anglian landscape, combining the words of the late Clare Crossman with songs by award winning singer- songwriter Penni McLaren Walker. Penni will be joined by Bryan Causton (mandolin/guitar), Fran Broady (violin & vocals) with Jeremy Harmer reading verse & poetry in place of Clare.

Doors open at 7.00pm for 7.30pm start and tickets cost £15 per person. Wine and soft drinks will be available to purchase.

The Friends of Royston Museum was formed in 1984 and has continued to support Royston Museum ever since. The Friends encourage others to come and enjoy the collection, exhibitions and activities, act as volunteers, contribute towards conservation costs and purchase of equipment, and support the ongoing work of the museum in any way they can.

In 2025 and 2026, the Friends' support enabled the Museum to move to a new collections management system, eHive, purchased a new gazebo to support the Museum's outreach work, purchased a new permanent projector set up for our monthly talks, contributed to our air source heat pump project and provided the additional hours required to undertake our 2026 redevelopment of the Museum.
