Dive into Yin: Energise & Restore
This special class is for you if you feel depleted and need to recharge. You will feel energised, release tension, and replenish your energy.
We will start with gentle Yoga to warm up the body, follow with a blissful Yin sequence, and close with a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep). The class will include: breathwork, Gentle Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
Yin yoga is a meditative practice involving holding passive poses for 3 to 5 minutes. Props (yoga bricks, blocks, bolsters) can be used for support. It is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, the meridians (energy pathways) and incorporates principles of Traditional Chinese medicine. The stretches can be particularly useful for increasing mobility if you feel stiff. It also improves sleep and the immune system as we work with the meridians to eliminate energy blockages.
Yoga Nidra is a restorative practice, a form of guided meditation that works with the deeper layers of our being (the Koshas). It’s an effective, safe and easy practice done lying down in a comfortable position.
This special class is open to all levels.
