WORKSHOP FORMAT
CASTING FOR U.S. PRODUCTIONS – LEVEL 1 WITH LANA VEENKER CSA, ICDA | FULL-DAY INTENSIVE CASTING WORKSHOP
This is not your typical audition workshop. Lana will provide an overview of what it is like to audition for U.S. projects, how to find out about U.S. productions shooting in the U.K. and Europe, and how to prepare for artists’ visas (such as the O1-B Visa or EB1-EA Green Card) that allow you to work as an actor in the States. To start the day, we will review pre-assigned self-tapes and explore how auditions typically run in the U.S. We will then get on our feet and practice a live Hollywood-style audition session. Then we’ll get down to brass tacks: We’ll cover the basics of what it takes to qualify for work papers in the U.S., how to best position yourself in the industry, and how to ensure you’re ready when opportunity strikes. This course is jam-packed with practical, ready- to-use information, so come well-rested, caffeinated, and prepared to install a new way of approaching your craft, whether you intend to branch out overseas or build a career at home.
{This masterclass adheres to CDG and CSA guidelines. It is a learning experience, not an audition or employment opportunity, and there is no guarantee of employment.}
Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!
