WORKSHOP FORMAT
CASTING FOR U.S. PRODUCTIONS – LEVEL 2 “MASTERMINDS” WITH LANA VEENKER CSA, ICDA | 2-DAY INTENSIVE CASTING WORKSHOP
15 & 16 JULY | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
(This is a one time fee and is inclusive for all the sessions in this course)
Following Lana’s hugely successful Casting for U.S. Productions course. She is back with a new two-day masterclass aimed at helping actors get clear about their professional goals and lay the groundwork to achieving them. This course is appropriate for those who wish to work on U.S. productions at home or abroad, as well as those who wish to develop the discipline of a Los Angeles or New York actor. Participants will build on self-tape and Hollywood-style live-audition techniques, deepening their understanding of script analysis and optimising the beats in each scene for depth and range.This will involve acting in the room and taking direction from Lana. We will then work on getting clear about our intentions and niches, explore how to make ourselves more valuable to gatekeepers, devise our plans of action—including prep for U.S. “extraordinary artist” visas, for those who are interested—expand our networks, and discover ways to keep ourselves on track and accountable. Bring along a notebook and pen for this two-day crash course, jam-packed with practical, ready-to-use information. Come well-rested, caffeinated, and prepared to install a new way of approaching your craft, whether you intend to branch out overseas or move to the next level in your career at home.
{This masterclass adheres to CDG and CSA guidelines. It is a learning experience, not an audition or employment opportunity, and there is no guarantee of employment.}
Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!
