WORKSHOP FORMAT

In this 4 week Intensive, you will work with Charlie Metcalf (casting assistant at the RSC) on a different play or theme each week. Sides will be sent out shortly before each session. Honest feedback will be given in a supportive environment!

BIO

Charlie initially trained as an actress before gaining a BA Degree in History & Theatre Studies, then an MA in Classical Theatre. After a Communications internship at the Royal Court Theatre, she moved into Talent Management working at some of the top London agencies, first as an assistant then running her own successful client list across Theatre, Television, Flim and Radio. After more than eight years as an Agent, Charlie joined the RSC where she has spent the past six years working as Casting Assistant and Children’s Casting Director. She is passionate about Arts Education, having taught Drama & Musical Theatre, and run workshops for several Stage Schools, Local Councils, and Youth Services. She specializes in Classical Theatre, with a focus on unlocking Shakespeare for all ages. Charlie is a probationary member of the Casting Directors Guild of Great Britain. & Ireland.
