WORKSHOP FORMAT
The day will begin with a refresh of the fundamentals of acting technique, in a fun and informal activity-led workshop. Then moving on to apply those techniques to different kinds of text, designed to stretch you and give the opportunity for each performer to showcase their abilities. The day will be very practical, pressure-free and relaxed.
BIO
Adam Penford has been the Artistic Director of Nottingham Playhouse since 2017. The Playhouse has twice won Theatre of the Year at The Stage Awards during his tenure (2018 and 2025). He trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). His production of James Graham’s Punch transferred from Nottingham Playhouse and is currently at the Young Vic in London. It transfers to Broadway in the autumn. His production of Dear Evan Hansen is currently on a UK and Ireland tour. His production of A Christmas Carol transfers to the Alexandra Palace Theatre this Christmas.
