CASTING ASSISTANT EMMA JANE PURCELL | TV / FILM CASTING WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP FORMAT

Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel,  Emma Jane Purcell will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Fran would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Emma under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Emma will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

**Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!**

BIO

Originally from Ireland, Emma Jane has been working on Shaheen Baig’s casting team since 2022 contributing to a wide range of television and film projects.

Some recent credits include: Netflix's Adolescence (TV - Warp, Netflix), Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (Film - BBC Films, Netflix), Brides (Film - BFI, Neon Films, Rosamont), Toxic Town (TV - Broke and Bones, Netflix).

Upcoming: The Rachel Incident (TV - Element Pictures, Channel 4), I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning (Film - BBC Films), The Cage (TV - Element Pictures, BBC).
