WORKSHOP FORMAT

Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel, Lucy Kate Smith will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Lucy would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Lucy under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Lucy will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

{This workshop adheres to CDG guidelines and isn’t an audition}.

BIO

Lucy moved to London from Rochdale in 2013 to study English Literature at King’s College London. She then went on to start a career in play and performance publishing at independent publishing house, Oberon Books. Lucy brings 6 years’ worth of casting experience to her role as casting associate. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion on screen, and places much importance on nurturing talent from underrepresented backgrounds who may not necessarily have a prior connection to the industry.
