INDUSTRY READY | ONE-WEEK INTENSIVE
A GROUNDBREAKING ONE-WEEK INTENSIVE DESIGNED FOR ACTORS AGED 13-17. INCLUDES AN INDUSTRY STANDARD SELF-TAPE REEL, SINGING REEL AND VOICE-OVER REEL.
2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 AUGUST (5 OCCURRENCES) | 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM | £600 Inc VAT (This is a one time fee and is inclusive for all the sessions in this course).
Located in our studios in Southwark, this action packed week will dive into each corner of being a professional and successful performer in the entertainment industry. Designed for young actors between the ages of 13-17, this 5 day course will be made up of multiple classes and workshop leaders. Each day participants will experience a different genre, media or style of performing (TV/Film, Theatre, Musical Theatre and Voice-Over Acting).
Our 2026 Summer School featured workshop hosts such as Playwright and Director Mark Ravenhill, TV/Film Casting Director Layla Wolf Zarpak (casting credits include the Netflix series Adolescence), Casting Associate Chandra Ruegg (casting credits include Beetlejuice, Tim Burton's Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega and John Wick: Ballerina), Casting Director & audio Producer Magda Cassidy (casting credits include the Amazon Audible production of Harry Potter), and RSC Children’s Theatre Casting Director Charlie Metcalf who has spent the past six years working at the RSC as Casting Assistant and Children’s Casting Director.
WHAT YOU WILL COME AWAY WITH?
- Each actor will come away with a broadcast quality self-tape reel.
- A broadcast quality Musical Theatre singing reel accompanied by a top Musical Director / Pianist.
- An industry standard voice-over reel for either commercials or audio books.
- These three reels are designed to support professional development whether that's sending new material to Casting Directors, finding a new Agent for representation or simply adding to your portfolio.
FAQ
- All levels welcome. Please link your Spotlight or Acting CV when booking, so that we can cast you accordingly.
- TV/Film section: Prior to the course, you will be sent material to prepare. Please be as familiar with the text as possible.
- Musical Theatre section: you will be asked to bring a song of your choice (no more than 1-2 minutes long) and it's sheet music for the pianist.
- For the voice over section please bring a 30 second peace of text this can be for advert/commercial concept, or from a audio book.
- There may be additional prep sent out nearer the time for the theatre and also the voice-over sections of the course.
- We have superb equipment for the best learning experience and all recordings and footage will be sent to participants after the session for no extra cost!
- We offer 6 month payment plans for this course - please email us for more details. You must give at least 5 working days notice of cancellation in order to guarantee your credit back on your account. If you cancel your place during this time, you may get your credit back, but only if your place is filled. Any refund requested for any other situation will be assessed by RAIS on an individual basis. If the refund request is accepted by RAIS as being justifiable, a refund will be given strictly on a pro-rata basis, for any days unattended by the student. Payment plans must be finalised before the opening date of the course.
