WORKSHOP FORMAT
5 & 6 August | 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM | 2 Occurrences | This ticket is a one-time fee (incl. VAT) and is valid for both days of the course.
This course covers the nuts and bolts of screen acting auditions, testing your versatility as an actor through bespoke direction and repetition. Throughout the two-day course, you will perform four different scenes. Katie Mozumder will provide individual feedback and direction on each performance, giving you the opportunity to explore multiple takes and approaches. Sides will be sent in advance for you to prepare before the session.
The classes will be filmed using broadcast-quality equipment, with the aim of providing you with a portfolio of high-quality self-tapes to support your professional development.
Your scenes will be recorded using broadcast-quality equipment. Upon request, you can receive your footage after the session at no additional cost.
This workshop adheres to CDG guidelines and is not an audition.
BIO
Katie Mozumder began her career in television production before moving into casting in 2017. She is currently a Casting Associate at Rachel Sheridan Casting, where she works across a wide range of television projects.
Prior to joining Rachel Sheridan Casting, Katie spent five years as a Casting Associate at Crowley Poole Casting, working alongside Casting Directors Suzanne Crowley and Gilly Poole. Her notable casting credits include all 14 episodes of One Day (Netflix), the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Killing Eve (Seasons 1–4, BBC America), The Durrells (ITV), Ragdoll (AMC+/Alibi), We Hunt Together (UKTV), Finding Alice (ITV), and Around the World in Eighty Days (BBC One). Katie has also assisted on several theatre productions for Hampstead Theatre and, in 2021, worked as Casting Director on productions for Tara Theatre and The Lodger at the Coronet Theatre.
Katie is a probationary member of the Casting Directors' Guild (CDG) and serves on its Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
