WORKSHOP FORMAT
Max Grant's intensive workshop is divided into two focused sessions.
WRITING & PERFORMANCE: Participants will be asked to write and prepare an original two-minute, two-hander ahead of the workshop. Throughout the day, Max will provide personalised feedback from an agent's perspective, exploring character, dialogue, structure, voice and what makes a script engaging for today's industry. Actors will have the opportunity to hear their work performed and receive constructive feedback to help strengthen their writing.
CAREER & REPRESENTATION: Max will also offer practical advice on developing a career as a writer, including building a portfolio, approaching literary agents, understanding the current commissioning landscape, and what agents are looking for when considering new writers. There will be plenty of time for questions throughout the day.
Please note all contact or questions regarding this workshop should come through the RAIS office. Please do not contact the workshop leader directly with questions.
This version makes it clear that the preparation is writing an original two-minute two-hander, while positioning the workshop as both a craft session and an introduction to the business of screenwriting.
Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast-quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session at no extra cost!
Please note all contact or questions regarding this workshop should come through the RAIS office. Please do not contact the workshop leader directly with questions.

He works closely with writers to develop original voices, build long-term careers, and secure opportunities across the screen and stage industries.
Please note: Our Agent workshops give no promise of representation and are not a showcase. They are a workshop space for professional actors to learn and develop. These Agents having watched many self-tapes from successful high profile actors can offer constructive feedback, whilst also giving insight into the current industry climate, including views on the best way to approach Talent Agencies for new representation.https://runatitshouting.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/
