WORKSHOP FORMAT

 20th & 21st Oct | 6:30 PM | ONLINE | 2 OCCURRENCES(This is a one time fee and is inclusive for all the sessions in this course)

SESSION 1: SELF-TAPE FEEDBACK: 20th Oct  6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Having looked at your online CV, Hannah will send out a selection of scenes for you to choose one from regardless of age, gender or ethnicity. You will then be asked to submit a self-tape of this scene before the workshop.

There will then be a live Zoom session where each self-tape will be shown to the whole class. Haannah will give specific feedback & direction to each participant.

SESSION 2: TAKING DIRECTION: 21st Oct  6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Prior to the second session, with Hannah’s feedback and direction - you will tape your scene again. There will be time at the end of the final session for a Q&A.

HANNAH'S BIO

Hannah Marie Williams is a Casting Director based in Wales and London, working across TV, film, commercials, and theatre.

Upcoming work includes the TV series, Deadpoint with Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer), Bryn Chainey’s debut feature Rabbit Trap being released by Focus Features & Magnolia Pictures, Joshua Loftin’s feature film, LFD – Hope which is selected for Darkroom at Rotterdam Film Festival 2026 & Anna Fredrikke Bjerke’s debut feature, Let It Come Down.

Alongside casting for screen, Hannah casts for stage and is working on the upcoming Welsh National Theatre production Owain & Henry, starring Michael Sheen, written by Olivier award winning writer, Gary Owen and co-directed by Michael Sheen and Steffan Donnelly. Hannah previously served as casting director for National Theatre Wales.

Commercial clients include Meta, Dominos, Adidas, Red Bull, HSBC and Grind.

With over 15 years of experience, Hannah’s approach to casting tends to blend the casting of established talent with discovery of new talent and street-cast faces. Her process is rooted in authenticity and careful attention to detail, always focused on creating believable worlds through the people who inhabit them.

Hannah’s work as a Casting Director spans BAFTA and BIFA winning projects with the BFI, BBC, Film4, and Sky. She was recognised at Cannes for assembling the international cast of the TV series Carthago, which won the Ensemble Cast Award, and her films have screened at leading festivals including Sundance, SXSW, TIFF, Berlinale, LFF, and many more.
