TV / FILM DIRECTOR DAVID TUCKER | SCREEN ACTING WORKSHOP
WORKSHOP FORMAT
This full day workshop will focus on screen acting techniques, to give the actor a feel for what it's like to work on set with David Tucker. Discover how to make the most of the material. How to make the most of the subtext in a scene! Discuss blocking a scene and working with the camera’s choreography. We will explore all the above through practical exercises, discussion and acting from scripts.
Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!
BIO
David is a BAFTA and International Emmy-nominated director of film, television and theatre.
He is currently directing the hugely acclaimed Call the Midwife for Neal Street Productions, adding to an exceptional body of work across some of the UK’s most recognisable television productions.
David has directed more than 80 episodes of EastEnders for the BBC, alongside episodes of Holby City, Casualty, The Last Detective, Born & Bred, A&E, Midsomer Murders and Miss Marple: Nemesis, among many others. David was nominated for a BAFTA for his series A Very Peculiar Practice (recently repeated on BBC4), a British Comedy Award for its sequel film A Very Polish Practice (with Alfred Molina) an International Emmy for Behaving Badly (with Judi Dench), an RTS award for The Gravy Train (with Christoph Waltz) and a Banff International Best Series award for Stanley And The Women (with John Thaw).
David has also taught extensively at the NFTS, London Film Academy, Met Film School, Drama Centre, Drama Studio London and has directed graduation productions at RADA, Drama Centre and Drama Studio London. With an impressive career spanning multiple genres and formats, David brings a wealth of experience in performance, storytelling and working at the highest level of television production.
