CASTING DIRECTOR SKYLER ZURN | FULL DAY AUDITION TECHNIQUE CASTING WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP FORMAT

In this full-day intensive, actors will explore practical, professional approaches to on-camera auditions with Casting Director Skyler Zurn.

The day begins with a series of ice-breaking exercises, improvisation work and scene analysis, focusing on identifying clear objectives, making bold choices and creating truthful, compelling performances.

Throughout the day, actors will work on pre-assigned scenes, performing them live in the room and receiving personalised one-to-one direction and adjustments from Skyler. Your scenes will then be professionally taped, allowing you to apply notes immediately and experience how small adjustments can transform a performance. This practical approach gives actors valuable insight into the collaborative audition process and how to respond confidently to direction in the room.

Having reviewed your Spotlight profile, Acting CV and Showreel, Skyler will carefully select and assign specifically tailored material to showcase your strengths.

SKYLER'S BIO

Skyler Zurn is an LA-based Casting Director with extensive experience across both film and television.

As Casting Director, her credits include Obsession (TIFF 2025), Fall 2 (Lionsgate), Dog Years, The Big Game, Nightfall, and she is currently casting a forthcoming Blumhouse feature.

Previous casting credits include Love Lies Bleeding (A24), The Fall Guy, Euphoria (HBO), Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix), Pam & Tommy (Hulu), The Good Nurse (Netflix), This Is Us (NBC), LAID (Peacock) and The Equalizer 3 (Sony). She has worked with some of Hollywood's leading casting offices, including Betty Mae Casting, Telsey + Company, Colloff/Nicolo Casting, April Webster Casting, Rich Delia Casting and Sharon Klein Casting.
