CASTING DIRECTOR LAURA WINDOWS | 3-WEEK AUDITION FOR TV & FILM INTENSIVE

WORKSHOP FORMAT

2, 9 & 16 OCTOBER (3 occurrences) | 6:45 PM - 9:45 PM | This ticket is a one time fee ( 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭. 𝘝𝘈𝘛 ) and is valid for all the days of this course.

This 3 week course covers the nuts and bolts of screen-acting auditions. Each week Laura Windows will send you a different genre scene to prepare, testing your versatility as an actor. Sides will be sent out for you to prepare 4/5 days prior to the session. The classes will be filmed on broadcast quality equipment and sent to you after each session, with the aim of giving you a portfolio of top quality tapes for your professional development. Below is week by week breakdown of how the course will play out...!

WEEK 1

Drama Scenes: This week will focus on fantasy scenes from projects Laura has worked on. 🎬

WEEK 2

Alternate Accents. This week will focus on US accents or an accent of your choice! 🇺🇸

WEEK 3

Assigned scenes: for the final session Laura will tailor an assigned scene to each actor.

**Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!**

BIO

Laura is the Casting Director on the new series Robin Hood for MGM+. She is currently a Co-Casting Director at Suzanne Smith Casting. 

She has over 10 years experience casting film, television and commercials for the UK, America and Australia. She began casting commercials, working with Sasha Roberston and then moved into film and television casting, working with Lucinda Syson and Elaine Grainger. She lived in Australia for a year casting commercials with Toni Higginbotham and working on feature films with Faith Martin. She returned to London to work as the Lead Casting Director on the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Since then she has been working on her own projects alongside working with Suzanne Smith.

Recent credits include THE OUTPOST (Seasons 2, 3 and 4), the independent feature GREATER WAS THERE NONE, Lydia Dean Pilcher's A CALL TO SPY, Oded Ruskin's FERTILE CRESCENT and THE DEAL, directed by Orsi Nagypal for Electric Entertainment. Alongside Suzanne Smith she has recently worked on PENNYWORTH (Warner/HBO Max), SHADOW AND BONE (Netflix) and MARIE ANTOINETTE (Canal +).
