WORKSHOP FORMAT
Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel, Yvonne Lawlor will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Yvonne would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.
Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Yvonne under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Yvonne will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.
Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

BIO
Yvonne is a Casting Director working across TV, Film, and Commercials. With 10 years in the industry, she’s worked with some of the best - Daniel Edwards, Shaheen Baig, Nanw Rowlands, Julie Harkin and Nathan Toth whilst carving her own career.
As a proud Brummy, and with offices in both London and Manchester - she is passionate about bridging the gap between the North, the South and the Midlands, making sure actors from every corner of the UK have the same platform and opportunities.
As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Yvonne understand the importance of diversity and inclusion, and this sits at the heart of her work: everyone deserves equal opportunity regardless of race, sex, sexuality, gender, class or disability.
With a sharp eye for talent and a love for developing fresh voices, Yvonne thrives on script and the magic of storytelling. She wants audiences to feel seen on screen, to recognise themselves and their worlds on the telly.
Some of her proudest Casting credits include: House Of David (Amazon), Malpractice S2 (ITV), Picture This (Amazon), Shardlake (Disney), The Doll Factory (Paramount), I May Destroy You (BBC/HBO) and her most recent work on BAFTA winning Mackenzie Crook’s new series Small Prophets (BBC). Yvonne has recently wrapped a feature film starring Killian Scott and Francis Magee, and is currently working with CAN CAN Productions on a feel-good feature amongst lots of commercial work.
