Join us for a 5-week online audition intensive, working directly with a different casting professional every week.

Across five consecutive Sundays, you’ll explore different areas of the international casting process — from screen auditions and self-tapes to series regular technique, genre work and theatre auditions.

Each week gives you the opportunity to audition, receive direction and develop your technique with casting professionals working across television, film and theatre.

Whether you’re looking to better understand the international market, gain experience with US casting professionals or strengthen your audition technique, this intensive gives you the opportunity to put that work into practice week after week.

HOW IT WORKS

The intensive takes place live online via Zoom every Sunday for five consecutive weeks.

Each session is led by a different casting professional and focuses on a different area of audition technique.

Depending on the session, actors will work with live reads, mock auditions, self-tapes and prepared material.

Your booking includes all five sessions. This is a one-time course fee - there is no additional charge for individual weeks.

WEEK 1 — 25 OCTOBER

AARON SCHOONOVER

LIVE ZOOM SCREEN AUDITIONS

Aaron Schoonover is a casting director and filmmaker working across television and independent film.

He is a longtime Associate Casting Director to Bess Fifer on the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ series Severance. His additional casting credits include City on Fire (Apple TV+), WTF Is My Password, Flyover, The Unheard, The Seeding and Orange is The New Black.

With more than 15 years working in New York and Los Angeles, Aaron brings extensive experience of the US film and television casting process.

Actors will work live with Aaron via Zoom, exploring screen audition technique, receiving direction and working through material in real time.

WEEK 2 — 1 NOVEMBER

DANI MARKOWITZ

LIVE ZOOM AUDITIONS | SERIES REGULAR TECHNIQUE

Dani Markowitz is a US casting professional whose work spans television, film and theatre. Her credits include Fantasmas (HBO), Pachinko (Apple TV+) and Demimonde, the HBO/J.J. Abrams pilot.

Dani previously spent several years at Disney/ABC, with a particular focus on series regular and major recurring rolesfor primetime and studio projects. She began her career as a Casting Associate at Olney Theatre Center and has also worked at Innovative Artists Agency, giving her experience from both the casting and talent representation sides of the industry.

This session focuses on live reads and audition technique, with particular attention to approaching series regular material.

WEEK 3 — 8 NOVEMBER

ADRIENNE STERNE 

SELF-TAPE & LIVE AUDITION TECHNIQUE

Adrienne Stern is an Artios Award-winning Casting Director whose films have premiered at Sundance, Cannes, TIFF, Tribeca, Berlin and SXSW. Her credits include The Believer starring Ryan Gosling, Thirteen Conversations About One Thing starring Matthew McConaughey, Broken English with Parker Posey and Justin Theroux, and Joseph Pulitzer featuring Sebastian Stan, Rachel Brosnahan and Adam Driver.

In this practical session, actors will explore both self-tape and live audition technique, looking at how preparation, performance choices and adjustments translate in an online casting environment.

Actors will work on material, receive direction and explore how to create clear, confident choices for the camera.

WEEK 4 — 15 NOVEMBER

PAMELA KRAMER

HORROR & SCI-FI/FANTASY AUDITION TECHNIQUE

Pamela Kramer is a US casting professional with experience across film and television and a particular focus on horror, sci-fi and fantasy audition technique.

This specialist session explores the particular challenges of genre auditions — from heightened circumstances and imaginative worlds to fear, tension and high-stakes material.

Actors will explore how to approach genre material while keeping performances truthful, grounded and appropriate for screen.

WEEK 5 — 22 NOVEMBER

ALAINE ALLDAFFER

LIVE MOCK THEATRE AUDITIONS

Alaine Alldaffer is an established New York casting director with extensive experience across Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatre.

The final week moves into the world of US theatre casting with live mock theatre auditions.

Actors will work live on material in an online audition environment designed to reflect the professional theatre casting process, with the opportunity to audition, receive direction and explore what casting professionals are looking for in the room.
