KICKSTART YOUR VOICE ACTING CAREER

Magda Cassidy and Shane O'Byrne team up to host a crash course in kickstarting your voice career! This full day workshop will aim to give you the ultimate tool kit for diving head first into the land of voice. You will practise voice acting techniques, whilst learning the business side of voice (voice agents and how to contact them etc). The day will be split into two rooms, one recording studio and the other a rehearsal space.

The workshop will conclude with Q&A and development chat where Magda and Shane will share an industry cheat sheet on how to break into the industry!

*We will record 2-3 contrasting pieces for your reel. Upon request you will receive a professional (industry standard) voice reel of your work from the day*

BIO

Magda Cassidy is an award-winning Casting Director who specialises in casting talent (both new to audio, and seasoned voice actors alike) across audiobooks, audio drama, and animation. She has worked as a Casting Director for Audible, and has also cast several productions across TV, film and theatre.

Magda also works in audio production, working with household names such as Stephen Fry, French and Saunders, Steve Coogan, and Billie Piper. Her recent credits for Audible include From the Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast (Best Comedy, British Podcast Awards 2024), National Theatre New Views, Lolly Adefope’s Fanmail, Daisy May Cooper’s Educating Daisy, and LAMDA GNR8.

Magda trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, working as an actor for several years before moving into audio production and casting. With expertise in recognising the importance of vocal performance in storytelling, she is fiercely committed to discovering and nurturing emerging talent, and representative casting.
