CASTING DIRECTOR'S LUCY JORDAN & SHENAE RAE | FULL DAY TV & FILM CASTING INTENSIVE

WORKSHOP FORMAT

In this full-day workshop, actors will gain valuable insight into the casting process from the perspective of a busy casting office. Drawing on their experience in casting, Lucy Jordan and Shenae Rae of Jordan and Rae Casting will share practical advice on auditions, self-tapes, submissions, and what helps actors stand out in today's industry.

Prior to the workshop, Lucy and Shenae will review participants' Spotlight profiles. They will then select and send out scenes tailored to the group. Please choose the scenes that suit you best, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity, and come as prepared as possible.

Participants will perform and film two different scenes under professional audition conditions, giving them multiple opportunities to showcase their work and respond to direction. With the rest of the group observing, actors will experience a realistic casting environment while benefiting from our high-quality filming equipment and learning from one another's performances. Lucy and Shenae will provide personalised feedback and direction on each scene, allowing participants to make adjustments and explore different choices in the room.

The workshop will conclude with a short refreshment break and an informal Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions about the casting process, self-tapes, auditions, and working in a busy casting office.

**Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!**

LUCY'S BIO

Lucy is a Casting Director with a decade in the industry and has predominantly worked alongside Dixie Chassay. Lucy has frequently collaborated with director Yorgos Lanthimos, including on the Academy Award-winning THE FAVOURITE and subsequently on Lanthimos' upcoming features POOR THINGS and AND. Additionally, Lucy has been Casting Associate on all three seasons of Hulu’s Emmy Award-winning series THE GREAT.

Other recent credits include PERSUASION (Dir. Carrie Cracknell) , HOUSE OF CLARENCE (Dir. Jaymes Samuel) and THE POD GENERATION (Dir. Sophie Barthes).

SHENAE'S BIO

Shenae Rae is a casting director from London who has worked in the television and film industry since 2013. She spent 6 years as an executive at NBCUniversal in Los Angeles covering the casting for networks USA, Syfy and NBC as well as manage the studio casting on shows like UMBRELLA ACADEMY, THE SINNER and HOMECOMING.

Current and recent credits as casting associate include Marianne Elliott’s debut feature THE SALT PATH (starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs) and season 3 of Hulu’s Emmy Award-winning series THE GREAT.

Other recent credits under Kahleen Crawford include features HALLOW ROAD (Dir. Babak Envari), FOR LIFE (Dir. William Bridges) and BBC/Netflix series LOCKERBIE.

Shenae recently partnered up with fellow casting director Lucy Jordan to form Jordan & Rae Casting, specialising in casting both new faces and well-established talent for film and television with a dynamic and fresh approach.
