If you have a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent who was born in the UK or a former British territory, you may now be eligible for British citizenship.

The UK is opening up new routes to British citizenship for thousands of previously disqualified applicants. We will be holding a limited number of private one-on-one consultations between 16 and 17 January 2023 in Nairobi for £350.

If you fit one of the following scenarios, you might now be eligible to apply for British citizenship:

  • You were born in Kenya...

    • your parents and/or grandparents were born in the UK or a place that was part of the UK
    • your father was born in Tanzania or Uganda before independence
    • you were born prior to 1983, your mother was British and you have a UK-born grandparent.

  • You were born in Kenya before independence...

    • you have a UK-born mother or a UK-born maternal grandfather and/or a UK-born maternal grandmother and/or a UK-born paternal grandmother.
    • you were married to a woman before 12 December 1963, who was born in the UK or had a UK-born grandparent.

We'd also love to speak to you if:

  • You renounced British citizenship in the past and...

    • you want to resume British citizenship.
    • you have children who'd like to claim British citizenship.

  • You previously applied for British nationality, but your application was denied due to issues of gender (or other) discrimination.

  • You previously requested a nationality assessment from Philip Gamble or Sable International, and were told you had no claim, but you believe the law changes might have improved your chances (We're happy to offer 20% off the consultation fee if you can produce a copy of the past report)

  • You are British...

    • but your children were born outside of the UK and you'd like them to become British.
    • you are expecting a child and would like that child to become British.
    • you have children under the age of 18 and spent three years living in the UK prior to your child's birth.

  • You have family connections to British Overseas Territories such as St. Helena, British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, Cayman Islands, Monserrat, etc.

  • You are or have a child adopted by a UK citizen, where the adoption took place outside of the UK.

  • You are or have a child born to a UK citizen through surrogacy.

Book your one-on-one consultation

Join us for a private consultation in Nairobi at the Villa Rosa Kempinski (venue subject to change) between 16 and 19 January 2023.

Meet with British nationality expert, Mishal Patel and his team. Mishal was born in Mombasa and moved to the UK in 2004 after successfully applying for British citizenship through Philip Gamble & Partners, which later became the citizenship division of Sable International.

If you suspect you may be eligible for British citizenship, now is your chance to meet face-to-face with an adviser who can go through your family tree with you and give you a detailed breakdown of your options and what might be available to your family.

Consultations will cost £350. Book now and payment links will be provided at a later date.

No cash will be accepted and the meeting can be recorded by the attendee as no written summary post meeting will be provided. For enquiries please email events@sableinternational.com
