A Smithsonian Affiliate located in Old Sacramento State Historic Park, the impressive museum complex offers a first-hand glimpse of rail history and offers the area's only historic and authentic excursion train rides (April thru September). The California State Railroad Museum Library is located adjacent to the Museum on the second floor of the Big Four Building.
