Picnic for Palestine: Farm to Table Picnic with Chef Izzeldin Bukhari
Qathet for Humanity invites you to join Chef Izzeldin Bukhari, Palestinian chef visiting from the Old City of Jerusalem for a Picnic for Palestine: a Farm to Table experience.
Bring your own plate, cup, cutlery and a picnic blanket and enjoy a taste of Palestine, while hearing stories about the food, recipes, and life in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. More than a meal: this is an intimate, immersive celebration of Palestinian resilience and identity through the power of food.
In Izzeldin's own words:
"Rich in nutritious ingredients and flavorful spices that are bound to the land, Palestinian food has made a deep impact on Mediterranean cuisine at large.
We are home to dishes that reflect our ancestors’ deep understanding of their soil, their ingredients, and their homeland.
Our aim is to keep that tradition alive, despite the relentless political and cultural pressures threatening its existence, and share that with the world."

Please indicate if you want the vegan option (or any other special dietary requests including gluten free) during the ticket purchase process.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gaza Soup Kitchen.
