ABOUT THE SPACE
Part design studio, part café, part natural wine bar, Pastel Rita is located in the Mile End, and is an inclusive, welcoming queer meeting place for local creatives, students and neighbours. Please contact Pastel Rita if you have any accessibility needs or requests. 

ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER - DONATE EVEN IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND!
A portion of the profits will support Roots of Resistance @roots.of.r3sistance, a donations-based organizing initiative working to supply aid to the 1+ million (and rising) people displaced in Lebanon. Funds will also go to support grassroots efforts in Gaza, and to help HIV posi Lebanese queer with medical and legal expenses (GoFundMe).

Chef Izzeldin Bukhari is a chef and food researcher dedicated to preserving and reimagining Palestinian culinary heritage. As the founder of "Sacred Cuisine," he runs pop-up kitchens, food tours, and cooking experiences across Palestine, and travels internationally for restaurant residencies, collaborations, and cultural exchanges. Known for his plant-forward approach, he specializes in somi cuisine — traditional vegan and vegetarian dishes connected to fasting traditions and seasonal eating practices. His work combines sustainability, zero-waste cooking, spirituality, and cultural preservation. Bukhari has become an active voice in Palestine’s growing gastronomy scene.
