Whittington Community Hall, WR5 2RQ
Description
Welcome to Worcester's new monthly
Gong Bath and Sound Meditation!
"GONG BATHS ARE THE NEW YOGA!"
according to the Independent & Elle Magazine
Gong & Sound Baths are gaining popularity and selling out across the country as the new way to deeply relax and de-stress.
You simply lie back fully clothed on a yoga mat with cushions and a blanket and let all your worries melt away to the blissful sounds and vibrations of the sacred gong , Tibetan bowls , Quartz crystal singing bowls , Harmonic chimes and other restful instruments.
These sounds take you into a deep state of meditation quietening the busy 'mind chatter' and allows the body, mind and emotions to relax and rest. The vibrations work down to a cellular level giving what is known as a 'sonic massage' removing energy blockages and helping to rebalance the body. You switch from the 'Flight or Flight' branch of the Autonomic Nervous System and into the relaxed 'Rest & Repair' . The heat beat slows down, blood pressure lowers and your whole body can begin to heal and re-balance itself. Like popular practices such as Yoga Nidra - an hours Sound Bath can be equivalent to several hours of deep sleep.
Regular clients say they enjoy :
* Feelings of inner peace and relaxation.
* Better and deeper sleep
* Relief from chronic aches and pains
* Feeling more energised and yet calm and in balance
* Inspirational ideas and creativity
* Connecting to inner knowing and guidance
Typical Feedback from clients:

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Dress warmly in layers. You will need a yoga or air/camping mat to lie on , a cushion for your head and a cosy blanket to lay under and over you as your body temp can drop during deep meditation.
If you have trouble with lying on the floor you are welcome to bring a folding garden recliner chair to lie back in. Also bring a bottle of water.
*WINTER*
During Autumn and Winter please bring extra padding to lie on as the floors can be cold - a sleeping bag, folded single duvet or an extra warm blanket is ideal. Don't be shy at bringing what you need - regulars bring plenty! Although halls are heated larger spaces can still feel cool if you don't bring enough.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This 90 minute session costs £20 single ticket or £35 for 2 people (save £5) and can be booked via the ticket tab on the event info.
* Note * We do not give refunds or transfers due to hall hire and costs involved in these events unless we can re-fill your space. If you are no longer able to attend then you are welcome to sell or pass your ticket on to someone else. Please notify me of any change in name attending. See below for full T&T
WHAT TIME?
Please arrive from 7.15 onward for a 7.30 start. Please wait in your car if you arrive before 7.15 to allow us enough time to set up properly. Once the doors are closed we can't admit late comers as it will disturb the meditation. Allow plenty of time to find the hall if it is your first time as SatNavs vary!

Your Facilitator : Angie Latham
Fully Qualified & Insured Sound Therapist & Regression Hypnotherapist - experienced group facilitator covering Worcestershire , Herefordshire & Gloucestershire.
I have been running Gong & Sound Baths for 5 years now after re-training as a Sound Therapist in 2017 because I was diagnosed with burn out and ME/Chronic Fatigue through my stressful job in the NHS. Because there is no conventional 'cure' for ME I was left to try and find holistic and alternative solutions. I went to my first Gong Bath in 2016 and it changed me life forever! For the first time in years I felt deeply relaxed, clear and completely energised. Sound Therapy helped me so much I wanted to help others find the same relief from anxiety and stress.
Illness / Covid - 19 info :

By purchasing tickets you agree to the above conditions. No transfers given to alternative dates. Refunds are given if the event is cancelled by myself due to illness but not if it is cancelled due to Governmental intervention e.g lockdowns/restrictions.
