Gua Sha Specifics for the Lower Body is going to take you deeper into the many ways you can utilize your Gua Sha tool and techniques in the massage session. In Gua Sha Specifics for the Lower Body you will learn how to address specific areas of concern for your clients including how to:

• Improve mobility of the hips and surrounding tissues
• Reduce tension and improve circulation in the legs
• Utilize the Gua Sha tool to reduce symptoms of plantar fasciitis

This workshop will have minimal lecture with the majority of the workshop being discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice time.  Practice time will include prone, supine and side-lying massage.  Please bring your preferred medium, a full set of sheets, pillow, bolster and a table (with face cradle) along with any Gua Sha tool you may have purchased and a pen or pencil for taking notes. I will have one type of Gua Sha tool available for purchase for only $5 made of buffalo horn. Please bring cash and they are available on a first come/first served basis before the workshop and on breaks. Please don't feel obligated to bring any tools or even to purchase one from me, you are welcome to borrow one of mine to use during the workshop. I bring a wide variety of shapes and compositions to try in class for your own understanding and practice with the various shapes, sizes and compositions. This course is approve for 4 hours of CE with NCBTMB and is intended only for professional licensed massage therapists who have taken Gua Sha Assisted Massage. Please do not sign up for this course if you are not a licensed massage therapist or have not taken the prerequisite. You do not need to bring a tool to participate. I will have a wide range of tools available to borrow during class—so you can try different materials, sizes, and shapes. I also offer a buffalo horn Gua Sha tool for just $10 (cash only, first come/first served). Tools are available before class and during breaks, but there is no obligation to buy—come ready to learn either way.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

You can cancel your attendance and request a full refund up to 2 weeks before class. After that time, there are no refunds. Feel free to send someone in your place. You cannot transfer your class fee to another class.

Sacred Spirit Bodyworks reserves the right to cancel the class up to 2 weeks prior to the class if there are less than 6 people signed up.

Bad weather Policy:

If the class is cancelled or rescheduled because of bad weather/roads, you will receive a full refund. If we hold the class, but you cannot make it because of weather/roads, you will receive a refund less a $35 administration fee.
