Taino Full Moon & Winter Solstice Ceremony People’s Circle - VIRTUAL

I’d like to invite you to join us for a special celebration! On Tuesday December 21, we will be celebrating the final full moon for 2021 along with the winter solstice. The winter solstice is the longest night and shortest day of the year. It’s the rebirth of the sun after its death in the fall equinox, the first sign of light after the darkness.

In this ceremony we will incorporate our traditional full moon practices of opening a talking and healing circle within the container of the Taino Spiritual Ceremony. The centerpiece of the healing circle is reclaiming the practice of "Tending to Our Ancestors", which is the foundation of the Taino spirituality. For this purpose we engage on a Bohutio (shamanic) journey, induced by a spontaneous healing chanting and the sounds of the mayowakan, the Taino traditional drum. The timbre of these sounds will take you to the sacred space for your vision quest with your ancestors. For the talking circle we give the word, to those who feel so inclined, to share the medicine they have received with the members of the community.

After this, to honor the winter solstice we will go inside to meditate about the year, reflect on the lessons we have learned and set our intentions for the next season. We will celebrate our rebirth in the community, knowing that the light that lives inside of us will be reborn after the long season of darkness.Our aim is to help to decolonize our spiritual beliefs, learn about our culture, support the spiritual and emotional growth of the people through rituals and create a safe place for the coming together of our community. This ceremony is open to everyone.

The medicine for this Full Moon is "Embracing a moment of truth".

We will gather on Tuesday December 21 from 5 to 7:30 pm PT / 8 to 10:30 pm ET. The investment is US$37.

Please be punctual as the ceremony will start promptly at 5:10pm /8:10pm. The conferencing details via Zoom will be provided ONE HOUR BEFORE THE EVENT.
