Event Description

Despite growing awareness of mental health in kink and leather circles, stigma around various kinds of neurodivergence remains. Devyn Stone, founder and producer of THRIVE, reviews the history of consent and neurodivergence in kink, from RACK and SSC to the DSM. He invites participants to explore the diversity of the human mind in its myriad of forms, even those more feared and stigmatized than others.

Presenter

Devyn Stone (he/him) is a self-awareness and BDSM educator, author, and alternative lifestyles coach. He is a Leatherman, an extrovert, a dominant, a Sons of Anarchy fan, and a foodie. He also enjoys organizing events, volunteering, moderating, speaking, and emceeing! He is the Founder of Pragmatically Kinking and Executive Producer for the THRIVE conference.

Devyn’s been actively practicing authority transfer dynamics since 2004. Today he lives in Colorado Springs, CO with his property, Guan-Xuan, who is unquestionably devoted to his will. He dreams of globe trotting and helping folx achieve the connections they desire, while they learn themselves more deeply.

He believes in diversity not division, and actualizes that idea by promoting strongly affirming spaces and interactions. Devyn Stone was presented the Inferno award at FLAME in 2021, in recognition of his work providing inclusive, diverse, and accessible education to the BDSM, Leather, and Kink Communities.

Devyn has a passion for giving and receiving education. He offers over 40 classes on topics ranging from psychology and mental health to consent and negotiation to leadership and inclusion. He has presented for over ​50 organizations including Wicked Grounds, The Eulenspiegel Society, Society of Janus, MsC Worldwide, and Kinky Kollege. He has also been a panelist many times for issues such as gender, inclusion, diversity, and authority transfer. Interviews with Devyn Stone can be found on several podcasts and YouTube channels including Erotic Awakening, Off the Cuffs, and Sex with Strangers.

He is the author of “DAMN! That’s A Nice Ash! A Comprehensive Guide to Cigar Service & Play” and the “Quick Reference Series,” offering concise and easy to digest basic information in affirming gender, creating protocol, negotiating authority in relationships, and more.

As an alternative lifestyles coach, Devyn often coaches groups, organizations, and individuals. He has programs ranging from BDSM relationships, leadership, organization, BDSM education, event coordinating, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.

The events are of adult nature. Thus all attendees must be at least 18 years of age.

Time Zone
This is an online event that can be accessed worldwide. By buying a ticket you accept that it is your responsibility to know the event's time in your local time zone.

No Recording Policy
No recording of any kind is permitted of the event, whether it is in the form of video, audio or image capture, and whether it is the whole event or parts of it.
In case we, the organisers, record an event you will be given advance notice about that fact in the event description before buying a ticket. If that's the case we capture in both video and audio only the speaker and none of the audience members.

No Nudity Policy
No nudity on screen is allowed during the event. There may be nudity from the side of the presenters as part of a live demo or as part of slides in order to enhance the educational experience of the class.

No harassment.
We aim at providing a safe and accepting space for exploring the themes of the events. As such we do not allow any sexist, racist or other discriminatory, hateful, harassing or abusive language or behaviour.

Refunds / Cancellations
We refund tickets up to 48 hours before the beginning of an event. After that point all sales are final. In case an event is cancelled or postponed you are also entitled to a refund.
In case you are removed from an event because you didn't respect the terms and conditions as they have been displayed above, then you are not entitled to a refund.
