Shama’il al Muhammadiyya: Beauty and Perfection
The Shama’il teaches our children to know, love and connect with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It moves beyond simply learning facts about his life and allows young hearts to become familiar with his beautiful appearance, noble character, habits, worship, clothing, food, home and daily life. The course is ultimately about nurturing a deep love for the Prophet ﷺ, because loving and following him is an essential part of our faith.

- Lessons 1–2: Loving Rasulullah ﷺ
- Importance of loving and following the Prophet ﷺ.
- The blessed lineage of Rasulullah ﷺ.
- The Nur/light of the Prophet ﷺ.
- Activities: intentions, lineage tree, Hilya descriptions and quiz.
- Lesson 3: Blessed Hair & Clothing
- The blessed hair, seal of prophethood and personal items of Rasulullah ﷺ.
- His clothing, shoes, khuff, ring, kohl and other items.
- Hands-on display of replicas and making aqeeq rings.
- Lesson 4: Armoury, Sitting & Pillow
- The Prophet’s ﷺ sword, armour, helmet, bow and arrow and other belongings.
- His manner of walking, sitting and resting.
- Activities including designing swords/bows, archery and making a pillow while intending to follow the Sunnah.
- Lessons 5–6: Food & Drink
- What Rasulullah ﷺ ate and drank.
- Bread, thareed, fruits and drinks.
- Sunnah manners of eating and drinking, wudhu and du’as before and after eating.
- Making and tasting talbeena and practising the Sunnah.
- Lesson 7: Blessed Speech
- The speech, laughter, poetry and storytelling of Rasulullah ﷺ.
- His manner of sleeping.
- Seerah storytelling, poetry, singing and interactive activities.
- Lesson 8: Worship & Devotion
- Rasulullah’s ﷺ worship, nawaafil, Salatul Duha, fasting and devotion.
- Recitation and reflection.
- Students pray nafl salah, make individual and collective du’a and create du’a cards.
- Lesson 9: Humbleness & Modesty
- The noble character, humility and modesty of Rasulullah ﷺ.
- Understanding outward and inward modesty and avoiding arrogance.
- Interactive activities exploring humility and its meaning.
- Lesson 10: Blessed Names & Lifestyle
- The blessed names and noble age of Rasulullah ﷺ.
- His home, bedroom, kitchen, bedding and simple lifestyle.
- Exploring the Sunnah home and learning the blessed names through recitation and calligraphy.
- Lesson 11: Passing, Legacy & Connection
- The passing and burial of Rasulullah ﷺ and the sadness of the Sahabah.
- His lasting legacy and our desire to remain close to him ﷺ.
- Salawat, dreams of Rasulullah ﷺ, du’a and a creative du’a collage centred around hopes such as visiting Madinah and seeing the Prophet ﷺ in a dream.
- Lessons 12–13: Revision
- Revision and consolidation of everything learned throughout the Shama’il course.
- Lessons 14–15: Shama’il Showcase & Completion
- Students prepare and present a Shama’il showcase to parents and guests.
- Completion ceremony, certificates and du’a.
The course is delivered by qualified and highly experienced female teachers.
