LEEDS: Film at Hyde Park Picture House

Join us for a trip to one of Leeds' - no, the UK's! - most iconic cinemas.

Hyde Park Picture House, which originally opened in 1914, is believed to be the only remaining gaslit cinema in the world.

We're making a trip out to the Picture House to round off Freshers week, where we'll be watching the iconic WALL⋅E (2008). This masterpiece won awards for Best Animation, and is credited for its minimal-dialogue narrative.

Not sure how to get there? Join us at campus at 12:15pm to walk across to the Picture House in one group.

Haven't had your photo taken yet? We need all new students to have their photo taken for ID cards so you can safely access the building. Prior to     the film trip, please report to the Facilities desk on the first floor (AKA 'Gear Hire') and let them know you'd like to have your photo taken.
