Event Description
A unique event set in the Tunisian Desert, “Sahara Nights” by Hippie Tounisi will bring together a community of dreamers and dancers -DJs, Artists, Creators, and Dreamers at a play under the Saharan sun and moon. With incredible music, bespoke nomad catering and camping, local culture music & art. Underground top selectors and heroes from the Arabian/African electronic scenes will curate intimate sets for a selected audience.

GETTING THERE
The festival site is 5-6 hours away from Tunis Carthage by bus.

Nearest Airport: Tunis Carthage International Airport is the preferred airport for this event. All buses to the Desert site leave from the pre-party hotel Ramada Plaza Hotel in Tunis Carthage on Friday morning  Flight costs between European locations and Tunis Carthage during the period range between 200-400 GBP at the time of writing, You check flight costs at https://www.skyscanner.net.  Buses leave daily from our nominated hotel in Tunis Carthage on Friday morning at lunchtime at 10-12-2 PM to arrive on Site at 4 PM. Buses return from the festival site on Sunday at 10 am. Details on the low-cost bus pricing are below.

Note: You’ll need to be free ALL WEEKEND to attend and perform at this event. You should plan  to arrive by Thursday-Evening on April 28th

Where is the festival located?
Camp Sahara @ Douz in the Northern Sahara desert is approximately a 5-6 hour bus journey from Tunis or Carthage (airport). It's a remote Desert Berber Camp with pre-created tents in the sand dunes. The Camp is accessed by 10K of incredible off-road transfer. The transfer between Douz is either by bus or off-road vehicles.  A limited number of Camels are provided for local travel and accommodation. 

What is the best way to get to Sahara Nights?
As the site is located in the Desert National Park, you will need to travel by our specialist bus -

The Sahara Nights Express - .FRIDAY 28 Departure 6:30 AM and 730AM and 9am

From;  Douz Sahara to Hotel Ramada Tunis, departure Sunday 12th at 11 AM  The Sahara Nights Express. on the bus there will be music, you’ll make new friends and start the party. 

You’ll see the landscape evolve from trees to the Saharan desert. until you arrive at your new Desert Home- in Douz for the 4 x 4  trek across the Saharan Dunes to our camp. (see image below)

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE ACCOMMODATION.
There is a shuttle bus from the Airport to where the pre-party on Thursdays occurs, and then the buses leave and return to the site on Friday at 6 AM. A taxi from Tunis Carthage Airport to  Ramada Plaza Hotel will cost 10 EUROS. Accommodation at the Africa Ramada Hotel is available at a special discounted rate of 70 EUROS-80  per person through our booking site (including the pre-party pool party)

Transfer from Tunis to Site, - The Return Bus Tickets on the Sahara Nights Express with cost no more than 99 EUROS RETURN from TUNIS and the site shuttle between DOUZ and The site will cost 30-40 EUROS. If you wish to leave the site a private car to Douz over the Saharan Sand dunes can be arranged.,

We have one ticket package available for the event, which includes music, wellness activities, and access to the camping area. The ticket price varies based on the type of ticket you choose and the availability of discount codes. Please note that due to the unique camping style of the event, please read the ticketing info clearly before purchase. 

SINGLE TICKET IN COMMUNAL BERBER TENT, OR YOUR TENT
This ticket entitles you to festival entry and accommodation in fine beds in a Berber tent with between 6 and 8 people sharing a tent. You may select to gather with friends, as a group, but it's possible you will be sharing the space with new friends. Ticket Price Includes shared accommodation, music, activities and more. You may purchase this ticket and bring your own tent if you do not want to stay in communal accommodation.
Exclusions  The ticket price does not include- transfer from Tunis to Douz to the site, flights etc.

Inclusions: ALL TICKETS include food, accommodation water, music, and wellness activities for 40 hours in the Sahara Desert. Tickets are available now for early bird

2-PERSON TICKET IN A SINGLE TENT
This ticket entitles you to festival entry and accommodation in fine beds in a Berber tent with 2 people sharing a tent designed for couples or close friends, You may buy this ticket for single occupancy if you wish.

About the Food: The ticket price includes food, which will be prepared by local Berber and Tunisian chefs on Berber campfires. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Please note that communal dining is the traditional Berber camp experience, and while dietary preferences can be accommodated, guests are encouraged to participate in the communal dining experience. If you have complex dietary requirements, you can bring a limited amount of food on site.

Alcoholic Drinks: Alcoholic drinks are not included in the ticket price and will be available for purchase separately. You may also bring your own alcohol to the site for a small charge.

Desert Environment: The event is located in a remote and wild area, so it's important to come prepared for the desert environment. This means it may be hot or cold, It may be easier to get dehydrated and you should bring adequate water and sunblock and be prepared.

Can I buy transfer tickets outside of the website/booking process?

No

Do I have to stay the whole week?
We recommend you stay for AT LEAST 4 days in the desert from Friday to Sunday and invite you to enjoy the beauty of Tunisia and parties before or after the festival for up to 6 days.

Can I change or amend my booking?
No, because the event dates are fixed

Can I explore Tunisia myself before or after the festival?
Yes

How many people are expected to attend Sahara Nights?
The boutique festival aims to host 150-200 attendees in 2023

What kind of amenities are available in the camp?
In the camp, you will have a clean wc, a common restaurant site, and event stages with other sound and wellness installations separately.

When are the main acts/headliners performing?

The lineup features some of the best DJs. dancers, yoga, and performers, 

We are building the full schedule, which will be released on April 10th . 

What are the activities available other than dancing in DOUZ?

In Douz, You can do nice traditional shopping for local costumes in the theme of the event

Are these recreation activities included with the festival wristband?

Not all, but most are provided at a low cost to our attendees.

Do I need a visa or travel permit to travel to Tunisia?

Generally, there is no visa required for Tunisia. However, You should still verify depending on your passport; in any case, inform us, and we will help you to the best of our ability. You can view a list of countries for visa requirements here- UK NATIONALS other nationals 

What about health insurance?

We recommend you have travel insurance to cover your tour in case.

Are you introducing COVID rapid testing as a condition of entry?

No. You can enter vaccinated or unvaccinated..

Will I get my money back if the event is cancelled due to COVID?

Yes, if the event is cancelled you will receive a FULL refund. 

You will receive your deposit back in case it happens the event is cancelled.

Is it safe to travel to Tunisia?

Yes, current travel to Tunisia is regarded as safe

Can I bring alcohol on site?

There is alcohol and food on site. You can bring a limited amount, with you on the bus and consume on-site based on what you can carry.

What security measures are being ensured? 

There will be a security team in place and this is included in the tickets

How much will it all cost

We estimate it will cost 400-450 EUROS to attend the festival for 3 days including food, accommodation, transfers and 1 nights accommodation at the Ramada (to total 4 days). That compares favourably to a single big night in Ibiza for some. But in this case, you’ll be under the Saharan Sun, the Blue Moon of the Desert and partying where no one has partied before.
