In this workshop, we’ll explore what the West Yorkshire creative & cultural industry can do and what we need to create a circular economy of reuse and resharing across our creative community. 

As a group, we'll reimagine how we can share resources amongst our sector in order to reduce material demand and disposal amongst from our creative productions, co-creating a circular model for our sector.

WORKSHOP AGENDA 

10:00 - 10:10: Welcome & Introduction

10:00 - 10:30: What is 'Circularity' and why does it matter? Paul Jenson from the University of Leeds & Yorkshire Circular Lab will introduce the concept of circularity and why it's vital we rethink the lifecycles of our materials. 

10:30-10:50: Our Research & Observations so far: Introducing the findings from our initial circularity research, case study examples of effective circularity in action, and our observations on what could work as a centralised solution for the sector. 

10:50-11:05: Break

11:05-11:45: What's next?: as a group, we'll co-create a plan for embedding circularity in the creative and cultural sector of West Yorkshire. 

11:45-12:00: Roundup of the plan
