Ask a Former IJ...about Pretermission

Have you ever wished you could talk with an Immigration Judge about removal defense? In particular, about the current practice of Pretermission, and strategies to defend against this and other practices that strip due process from noncitizens?  This online event presents an opportunity to ask a former Immigration Judge questions about these topics, and other aspects of presenting cases in immigration court. This session features former IJ Anam Petit, who presided over non-detained dockets in Annandale, VA until September 2025. Participation in this session is limited, in order to ensure that all participants have an opportunity to ask questions.
