SALON 58 PRESENTS Chamber music by the ROYAL CONCERTGEBOUW ORCHESTRA (RCO) 

Over the past six years, Salon 58 has had the great privilege of collaborating with and supporting a remarkable array of orchestras from around the world. From brilliant chamber groups like the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, to symphonic powerhouses like the London Philharmonic, our goal has always been the same: to give our Salon 58 audience the intimacy of a backstage pass, combined with the excellence of a front-row seat. 

This November, the musicians of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will once again cross the Atlantic to share their music with friends and fans in New York. On November 17, 2026, we welcome you to a chamber music evening at Salon 58 with the opportunity to experience the musicians’ virtuosity up close and to truly get to know the artists behind the instruments, promising a personal encounter with both the music and its performers.

CONCERTGEBOUW ORCHESTRA

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra was founded in 1888 and is considered as one of the world’s leading orchestras. Based at the legendary Concertgebouw in Amsterdam where it presents about 80 concerts each season, the orchestra promotes and develops symphonic music at the highest level and acts as an ambassador of the Netherlands in the world. The orchestra also performs regularly in leading concert halls around the globe and has visited the United States since 1954. Many US tours in the past have been made possible with the generous support of the Global Friends through the Netherland-America Foundation (a 501(c)( 3) not-for-profit organization).
