Duo SHILVANOV - Hannah Shilvock on the bass clarinet and Boyan Ivanon on the clarinet - have been performing together for nearly five years and are both endorsed solo artists with the amazing clarinet and saxophone makers Henri Selmer in Paris. 

Their programmes 'blend the rich textures of contemporary classical music with vibrant Latin rhythms and funky lyricism!' What not to like about that?...

SUPPER:

The concert will be followed by a suitably vibrant buffet supper and wine.

TICKET PRICE:

Because we are not a public venue we cannot 'sell' tickets. Instead we ask you to make a donation (suggested minimum £30 per ticket) which will enable us to pay our musicians a reasonable fee and contribute a small amount towards the cost of supper and wine.

THE ARTISTS:

Hannah Shilvock is an award-winning clarinet and bass clarinet specialist known for her pioneering work in showcasing the bass clarinet’s virtuosity. As a Selmer, BG France, RATstands, and DEBUT Classical Horizon Artist, she is celebrated for her innovative arrangements, including Debussy’s Cello Sonata for bass clarinet and piano and  Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No.1. Hannah has played with the Royal Opera House, Brighton Philharmonic and Covent Garden Sinfonia and is a guest teacher at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and at festivals across Europe.

Boyan Ivanov - is a virtuosic Bulgarian-British clarinettist, who has enjoyed considerable success as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician, performing at the Barbican Centre, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Cadogan Hall, Kings Place, and St John’s Smith Square, among many others. Boyan is the principal clarinet and Orchestral Manager of the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra and a highly in-demand educator, giving regular international masterclasses including Mexico and Spain so far this year!
