Nathaniel invites you to La Pompadour's Christmas Party

Nathaniel and La Pompadour would like to invite you to their Christmas party - at which they will be playing all of La Pompadour's favourite seasonal music from the court of Louis XVI. Included will be pieces by Handel, Corelli - and Wesley!!

An early Christmas supper will follow the concert: queue mince pies and  Christmas pud?...

TICKET 'PRICE':

Because we are not a public venue we cannot 'sell' tickets. Instead we ask you to make a donation - suggested minimum £35 per ticket.
Of this, £5 from each ticket will go to the Camden Music Trust. The Trust supports music in Camden schools with particular emphasis on children who might not otherwise have access to instruments or music lessons.
The remaining £30 enables us to pay our musicians a reasonable fee with any surplus going towards the cost of supper and wine.

ABOUT NATHANIEL:

Nathaniel Mander, Ambassador for the harpsichord, is widely regarded as one of the leading harpsichordists of his generation.

As solo recitalist Nathaniel has performed internationally a wide ranging repertoire from the Elizabethan Virginalists, through the sonatas of Mozart and Haydn, and right up to the music of Chopin and Schubert on fortepiano. He is particularly known for his expressive and virtuosic performances of the 18th century French masters and the music of Bach and Mozart.

Recent highlights include a private performance for Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, in the lavish George IV rooms at Windsor Castle and a sold out performance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations at the Valletta Baroque Festival in Malta.

Beyond performance, Nathaniel is also a teacher and passionate communicator. He has created teaching videos (for the Japanese Early Music organization Académie de Cour) to bring his love for early keyboard instruments to wider audiences. He holds masterclasses, adjudicates competitions, and is noted for his warm, light touch in introducing listeners to the contexts and colours of the music he plays.
