ELIZABETH POSTON
Elizabeth Poston (1905-1987) was a British composer, writer and musicologist with over 40 compositions for BBC radio alone.  Poston also had a highly accomplished career as an academic and presided over the Society of Women Musicians from 1955 to 1961. During World War II her work for the BBC included using gramophone records to send coded messages to allies in Europe although the exact nature of this work remains secret to this day.

About the players:
The Korros Ensemble comprises the beautiful and unusual combination of Flute, Clarinet and Harp.
Individually, Camilla, Nick and Eliza are much in demand, working with major UK orchestras. They have been performing as a group since they met in 2001 while studying at the Royal Academy of Music.
Together the Korros Ensemble have collaborated with Ballet Rambert, and Pineapple Dance Studios and had new works written for them by some of the finest British living composers including Patrick Nunn, Andrew Morgan and Olivier Award nominee, Philip Venables.
With a strong vision of adding something new and original to the chamber music world, Korros also reworks and reimagines its favourite repertoire - creating an exciting and fresh way of listening to much loved orchestral, chamber and solo works.

THE HIGHGATE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Salon Music would like to thank Father Robert and Highgate School for allowing our musicians to perform in the chapel. Any monies received by the chapel will go to the music department of the London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham, a Highgate sixth form sister school catering to students from one of London's more deprived communities.
