Joana Ly
Portuguese violinist Joana Ly started playing the violin at the age of 4. Graduating from ANSO in Lisbon, she moved to London to study at the  Royal College of Music with Radu Blidar and then to Amsterdam where she studied with Gordan Nikolic with the support of Gulbenkian Foundation.
Although she plays with a number of orchestras, chamber music is Joana's main passion. She was a member of the Corran Quartet , co-manages Artisti con Brio and is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Islington Festival launched last year.

Martin André
Although much of Martin's work is as an international conductor in both operatic and orchestral repetoires, chamber music has always been his passion, both as a pianist and a listener.
Being Co-Founder and Co-Director with Joana of the Islington Festival, a chamber music festival in his home community of Islington, is a dream come true.
(Martin has also had a season ticket for Arsenal Football Club since he was a teenager, and now lives only 2 minutes away from the stadium!)

THE HIGHGATE SCHOOL CHAPEL
Salon Music would like to thank Father Robert and Highgate School for allowing our musicians to perform in the chapel. Any monies received by the chapel will go to the music department of the London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham, a Highgate sixth form sister school catering to students from one of London's more deprived communities.
