BALLADESTE - Indian classic meets folk

Preetha Narayanan (Violin) and Tara Franks (cello) explore the versatility and sound potential of just two string instruments.

Including traces of contemporary minimalism, Indian classical and folk, the duo will play all original repertoire from their albums 'Relic' and 'Beyond Breath'. Songs without words with a contemporary alt-folk twist.

Preetha and Tara followed parallel paths from a classical background. Research, improvisation and collaborations with renowned UK artists including Anoushka Shankar, Talvin Singh, Kae Tempest, Oi Va Voi and Bernhard Schimpelsberger have fed into their process and performance dynamic as a duo.
