Mambo Vinyl Nights is La Gozadera Social MKE's Sunday dance floor at Anodyne Café.

DJ Furcio spins from his own crates, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. A heavy mambo set on vinyl, with bachata and cumbia in the mix. Mambo is the reason you come.

Anodyne clears its tables for us. This is an open dance floor for the full five hours, not a few square feet between chairs. For those just listening, seating and the bar stay available around the edges, order something, and listen between songs. Both are the right way to spend a Sunday.

There is no performance block, and no showcase. Nobody takes the mic to break the set. If you have been waiting for a night that trusts you to already know what you're doing, this is it.

Know before you go

Enter through the main entrance on Bruce Street. The café closes at 4:00 p.m. and the tables are cleared for an open dance floor, with seating and the bar around the perimeter. Beer, wine, and canned cocktails available all night. All forms of payment accepted at the door. All ages, 21+ to drink. The venue has nine steps at the entrance with wheelchair elevator access and ADA-compliant restrooms. Street parking is easy on Sundays in Walker's Point.
