FILM: I Swear (15)

Fri 6 Feb 2026 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM Saltash Studios, PL12 6JL

Funny, heartfelt and emphatically moving, I Swear is a powerful film inspired by the true story of Tourette syndrome campaigner John Davidson (MBE) and his quest to live normally in a world that misunderstood and struggled to accept him. The filmcharts his journey from a teenager in 1980’s Britain, to present day advocate for the understanding and acceptance of Tourette Syndrome.

Diagnosed aged 15, John navigates his way against the odds through troubled teenage years and into adulthood, finding inspiration in the kindness of others to discover his true purpose in life.

I Swear promises a powerful look at an astonishing life.

"Empathetic, funny and myth-busting, it gives you permission to laugh at the situation while feeling only compassion for the man." Time Out

"Just lovely. Tourette syndrome has not been afforded its cinematic dues, but what an affable, funny character to explore it with in John Davidson -- and what a performance from Robert Aramayo." Empire Magazine
