WELLBEING: Posture Workshop
WELLBEING: Posture Workshop

How’s your posture? Do you find yourself slumping at your desk or looking stooped or feeling stiff after sitting down for too long? Without realising it, we develop habits over time – ways of sitting, standing and bending. These habits can put pressure on our muscles and joints affecting our mobility and balance and creating discomfort.
In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll look at how our bodies are designed to be used. We’ll explore gentle, practical ways to sit, stand, and bend with more ease.
We’ll discover:
- How to sit, stand, and bend with less tension
- Common habits that create strain and imbalance
- Why trying to “correct” posture often doesn’t work
- How to use your knees and hips efficiently as you move
- A restorative lying-down practice (bring a yoga mat if you have one)
This is not an exercise class — it’s an informative, practical session offering tips you can use in everyday life. Led by experienced Alexander Technique teacher Sarah-Linda. www.livingandlovingmindfully.co.uk
